Practical Numbat® bag for carrying equipment on the chest from Helikon. The Chest Rig's format allows you to have your essentials literally at hand. What sets the Numbat® Small version apart, however, is its ability to be converted into a kidney bag. This allows the user to adjust the way it is carried as needed.
Which means that the bag can be carried quite comfortably, even when the greater number of layers worn makes it impossible to carry it on the chest. The carrying mesh allows the load to be evenly distributed and keeps the back airy. The panel is clipped to the mesh with four snap buckles, and in kidney bag mode with two.
The panel is made of 500D Cordura, polyester and nylon. Such a range of materials made it possible to create an overly durable bag capable of withstanding demanding use and adverse weather conditions. On the front there is a Velcro panel allowing you to personalize the Numbata®, as well as two parallel straps of the MOLLE/PALS system compatible with a wide range of additional equipment, what's more, they have holes for a carabiner, for example.
The primary element for carrying equipment in the bag is its two zippered pockets. The main one has access from the top, and the smaller one from the front. The main one opens and has most of the solutions known from Admin Pouch pockets like organizers, a velour panel for attaching more inserts and a map compartment that can be unzipped.
