Description
The 2166 tactical watch with a low-profile envelope from M-Tac. Like similar watches from the company, it boasts broad functionality and an ABS polymer envelope with enhanced resistance to damage. The device has many more functions than just time measurement, and these include a stopwatch, date, compass and pedometer.
The basis of the device is its electronic dial with LED backlighting. The watch is operated by four buttons located on the side of the envelope. It is powered by a CR2430 battery, the low state of charge of which will inform the device itself, suggesting a replacement. Despite the lowered profile of the watch, it can be easily operated with tactical gloves.
The user's physical parameters can be entered into the pedometer, so the watch will show more accurate data. Besides, the user can view the history of counted steps up to a month back. Use of the compass requires calibration, with the manufacturer suggesting isolation from an environment saturated with magnetic interference before measurements.
The device is packaged in a minimalist box, which makes it perfect for a sensible and practical gift. The multitude of useful functions of the watch with the way to operate them is described in the included manual. Adjustment of the wrist strap is carried out with a steel buckle, which securely holds the preset opening.
