Description
The kefiya sling commonly known as an arafat from Mil-Tec. It is made entirely of cotton and features delicate patterns that characteristically stand out throughout the fabric. The all-cotton construction allows for air exchange, plus its weight is relatively low. Its primary use is to protect against excess sunlight during the day and chill the neck at night.
Traditionally, the sling is associated with face cover during sandstorms, but beyond that it can be used as a head covering or a bandana or scarf. The sling at the edge of the fabric has a fringed finish. They act as an uneven edge, which strengthens the fabric and also allows for easier grasping when tying it.
