Description
Compact Survival Bivy Bag sleeping bag cover with carry bag from Mil-Tec. The collar of the bag has a drawstring along with a beaded stopper, allowing the bag to maintain a compact size when folded. The cover is made of Ripstop polyester with water repellent properties. Its inner side is lined with aluminum which improves insulation from the weather.
A zipper has been sewn on the side, which allows access to the cover. Thanks to the aluminum lining, the user is able to retain most of the heat generated inside, which will significantly increase thermal comfort during transitional periods, where colder nights are not unheard of. Keep in mind that the insulation works both ways, so it's a good idea to air it out before use.
In addition to its water repellent properties, coating the inside with aluminum has helped reduce wind flow inside the cover. When packed into the bag, it is not only compact, but also lightweight, as its own weight is less than 250 grams. The cover can also be used as a basic sleeping bag or a mat to insulate yourself from the ground.
