Description
The Princeton Tec BYTE Tactical is a compact headlamp equipped with a white LED and a red LED. This allows you to use both a powerful spotlight and discreet illumination to help keep your eyesight adapted to the dark. This is the smallest and lightest headlamp model from Princeton Tec, so it will fit into a fully packed hiking backpack or even a kidney or pocket.
The flashlight offers four modes of operation. Spot High mode generates a beam of 200 lumens with a range of 39 meters, providing intense illumination of the area. Spot Low mode emits 50 lumens and allows for longer operation with a beam reaching 23 m. Red High mode delivers 3 lumens of red light at a range of 3 m, allowing map reading and working in the dark without blinding the user. Red Low mode emits 1 lumen with a range of 1 m, designed for tasks requiring minimal visibility.
The flashlight's body is mounted on a pivot, allowing the angle of illumination to be adjusted. The design meets the IPX4 waterproofing standard, protecting against splashing in the rain. The flashlight is mounted on an adjustable elastic band, compatible with helmets and headgear. It is powered by two AAA batteries located on the side of the case. Access to the battery socket requires no tools, ensuring easy replacement of the power source in the field.
