Description
Vector Optics Paragon 10x42 is a binocular with a built-in laser rangefinder with a measurement range of up to about 2,300m. The optical design is based on lenses made of BK-7 glass, coated with a broadband anti-reflective coating (BBAR), which translates into improved light transmission and a clear image at 10x magnification.
The pupil offset is 19mm, allowing comfortable observation even with corrective eyeglasses. The central focusing system provides precise image adjustment, complemented by diopter correction of +/- 5. The minimum focusing distance is about 5.5 m . The binoculars are powered by a single CR2 battery located in a compartment at the bottom of the housing. The compartment provides tool-free battery replacement.
The integrated Class 3R laser rangefinder has several measurement modes, including continuous scan mode and +/- 60° tilt angle measurement. The measurement results are displayed on an OLED screen with nine levels of brightness adjustment, allowing for clear readings in various lighting conditions. Measurement accuracy is +/- 1 meter for distances up to about 250 meters and +/- 2 meters above that distance.
The binoculars' housing is made of PPS polymer, characterized by impact, temperature and weather resistance. The design meets the IP67 protection class. This standard is characterized by protection against dust and immersion in water up to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. The device is rated for temperatures from -10°C to +50°C.
The kit comes with a fabric neck strap and a binocular case. It allows you to carry the equipment in a bag or backpack without risk of damage. Rubber protective caps on the lenses protect the glass from dirt and scratches. For cleaning the lenses, there is a cloth in a convenient sleeve with a tag that can be attached to the binoculars or carabiner.
